The back of a blade?

Post by SwagRowerYOLO »

When ConceptII talk about the back of the blade in the guide to replacing sleeves, I take it that means the face of it that points towards the bow when square and towards the water when feathered?

Is that right?

Yes. Note it says that is where the wear-plate should be aligned to. Ie that is the part that is in contact with the gate when squared or feathered and is therefore on the same side as the back of the blade.

The back of the blade is what saves us lazy old timers a$$es during the recovery. The back of the blade is what allows me to completely disregard the concept of balance when sculling in a nine inch wide (Van Dusen Traditional) racing shell.
I had Cardiac Catheter Ablation. I was in totally asymptomatic, (Apple Watch alerted me) persistent, Atrial Flutter and, post Ablation, I am in persistent sinus rhythm, knock on wood!
