Re: Final Olympic Qualifying Regatta

this is weird, never seen an official Communication like this. I wonder what they mean by "irreparable harm to the athletes"??

Re: Olympics 2024

Having had a quick glance through the entries, the toughest event looks to be the LW2X with the gold and silver medallists from Tokyo both racing (Italy and France), along with the European silver medallists (Greece) plus decent Swiss and Aussie doubles.

Re: Olympics 2024

Now Fats can come in and I can feel wildly uninformed  Ha! I will be writing a preview for Junior Rowing News so wait and see! Every event is going to be pretty brutal, and the M8 will be a real bunfight, the Italians have shown good speed this season and then it’ll come down to Canada or the...

Re: Terry Dillon "steps down" as Rowing Canada CEO

Stepping down as Chief Exec a matter of weeks before the biggest event in the rowing calendar is weird, and will be a distraction to the team, whether they admit it or not. Why go now, why not wait until after Paris….it smells fishy to me.

Awkward.

Yep, 2 months out from the Olympics is most definitely the “right” time to quit

The "Fairness Commission" were in action today. Just goes to show you have to perform at every stage throughout the regatta in case the conditions get tricky.

Re: European Championships

Fascinating looking at the race data for the GB M4- They just set a speed and stay there for 2K. Their splits were:
1:34.2
1:34.1
1:34.9
1:34.3

don't think any other crew has that level of consistency
