Re: Fall 2023 / Spring 2024

All props to Coach Graham, but “masterful” might be a little hyperbolic. Anyone who can get a 1V8 conference victory out of Tulsa might be more suited for such accolades. Good on both coaches and their teams.

Heard there was quite the collision between JU and LaSalle men’s 2Vs at the Dad Vail. Several to ER. Any more info?

AAC’s

SMU wins the 2V4, 1V4, and 2V8.
Tulsa takes the 1V8 with SMU 2nd.
Should be an AQ for SMU

Re: Excellent rowing coverage

When you raise entry fees, as has been done repeatedly over the last few years, you hinder smaller clubs in less populated or less affluent areas. Youth sports in particular are affected. Not saying I have a solution, but one can see the dilemma for LOC's and USRowing as insurance and other operatin...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2023

Note that Georgia football, and Tennessee football as well, are in the black. Tennessee rowing is a non-revenue sport. It adds perspective on how absolutely insane it really is.

BTW: Database lists O'Neill in 2022 at $235,370.04.

Be sure not to use too much chlorine and get it all off. It's hard on the hands.

Re: Fall 2023 / Spring 2024

Peaking early wasn't the issue for Texas last year. They were over raced (IMHO). They lost two of their best, 5th years who left school after fall 2022. I posit it took the wind out of their sails. They just didn’t have the speed and possibly had a slump in morale. They just looked lethargic at NCA...

Re: Most Improved for 2024

It's impressive to see young athletes uproot their lives, leave behind friends and studies, and relocate ten hours away for their sport / coach. Unless, of course, you find you can’t leave because of your major, watch your new best buddies leave you, have the leader you so admire dump you like a ho...

Re: Most Improved for 2024

Wisco also looks improved. Tulsa not looking good. Wisco looked technically better than I’ve seen them but they didn’t exhibit as much speed as one might expect after a very mild winter. I didn't get the impression that Wisco did all that well at the Cardinal Invite a couple weekends ago...was that...

Re: Fall 2023 / Spring 2024

Good catch, BZ. You could see the times getting much faster through out the morning. You could see slight wakes of moving water off the buoys. Also a north breeze came up during the day.
