Unless IOPC decrees that ALL medalists get prize money, there will be even more of an "us vs them"
This reminds me somewhat of the state of big time college sport (ie Football and basketball) where fortunes are being made by everyone except the athletes.

Re: US Squad and Racing
Rowing announcers have to stop talking like educators. Would anyone watch basketball if the announcers spent half their time explaining dribbling? Anyone bothering to tune in already interested enough to not have to be won over or educated. Call the race. Who's moving, who's rowing well, who's in t...

Re: US Squad and Racing
What’s the difference between “CST” and “GMS”? The percentages look really great, but it looks like the CST times are slower than the old GMS (or WBT)? Anyone run the calculation using the old standard? Curious what that looks like. CST is "Competitive Standard Time" (I think, could be wr...

Re: Peter-Michael Kolbe
Very sad. RIP. He and Karpinnen were the Drysdale & Synek of their time. IIRC (and I may well be wrong), Kolbe is the only person to have won a World Champs in a sliding rigger boat. Close! Kolbe won in sliding rigger boat in 1981 and 1983. In 1982, the DDR sculler Rüdiger Reiche won using slid...

Re: Rowers Choice & Pocock , Sykes and Rez out
Rez website is active and includes the sales contact as Ed Bell from Kangua. I also noted that they have the same two quad photos on the boat category pages, one of which is of master's boat in a Hudson!! Do you mean this one? https://www.resoluteracing.com/sites/default/files/styles/blog/public/z4...
