Where to Find Nuts and Bolts Guide to Rigging

Post by olympicpuddles »

I'm trying to purchase a copy of the newest Nuts and Bolts Guide to Rigging (I don't own the old version either), but I can't seem to find a new copy online anywhere. MaxRigging is still down, and I am at a loss where to look. Any suggestions?

Is it supposed to be ridiculously expensive??

It's selling on amazon for over $600 (used), and at other stores (Barnes & Noble) for over $160. Is this book printed on leaves of gold? Or just really good?

In an older article, I read it retailed for around $47....

It is out of publication - I think the JL booth (or maybe RegattaSport) at HOCR had a few copies but I'm assuming they sold out. If you ask nicely I'm sure someone could summarize or scan relevant parts of the book for you. But it may be worth even $160, it's a great read from cover to cover.

Still counting that as the best christmas gift ever.

Am I missing something? I had no trouble getting onto maxrigging here:

Looks like the book can be had as an ebook for $27
