Anybody tried the Gamut 3? http://www.paternion.com/gamut/3/
Am curious to see how relative test scores change within a pool of athletes.
I think G3 would favor different body types. The Gamut was/is different from the C2 in that you have a pin, & measuring force application relative to the pin is different than center pull. Example: guy w/ long/fast legs will score better than guy with big core/shoulders because front half of the drive matters more.
I would think how you "race the erg" would change too. On the old Gamut RPM counters, a good hwt score was 3600 for 6min. 3800 was National Team. 4100 was Eric Murray territory. The key to getting a really high score was not letting the flywheel slow down, and again power application relative to the pin mattered.
