hip joint center of rotation

If i'm trying to approximate/mark the center of rotation of the femoral head in the anatomical position, how far above and/or behind the top of the greater trochanter should I place my marker?

Wouldn't most Biomechanics textbooks aimed at human biomech have that? I'll have to dig for my copy of Biomechanics of Human Movement. D. A. Winter, 1979,
