Wow. WOW. An average total comp salary of $135,632.00 for the 6 employees of the HOC?? I think this is not the type of document that the org wants to have out for everyone to see. This is obscene.

Yes especially on $3M of revenue... there is no way they can justify those salaries as a non-profit. Who do they need to remain competitive with to retain employees? No other US regatta compares in scope, and USRowing is a different type of entity.

They are not losing employees to other rowing entities. Turns out the skills acquired while trying to run the regatta are applicable in other industries.

How much do they make relative to non rowing events of a similar size and stature? Comparing their salaries to any rowing event is pretty meaningless; nothing else in the sport compares in size and scope.

Not sure about the domestic events, but we'll know how likely Silver Skiff is to happen based on whether or not the Giro D'Italia (currently scheduled for 10/3-10/25) happens.
