Re: Youth Nationals Predictions
I was pretty impressed by the ESPN+/USRowing feed yesterday. Is this a larger partnership for USRowing? Feed quality was 5x better than the crappy trials coverage.
Props to the commentary as well, well prepared knowing who was who, where they were from, able to make some historical references, etc. It put the Vails/IRA commentary to shame IMO.

Would like to be free like the rest. With out a cable subs, $h!t out of luck. The best coverages are Henley and word rowing, and both are free.

Re: Youth Nationals Predictions
True. But if this isn't a good time to start building a relationship with ESPN such that eventually ESPN respects rowing as much as...the WSOP, then when is a good time?
Re: Youth Nationals Predictions
I await the Isiah vs Willer match up tomorrow morning. Isaiah has been between 28-30 in every piece with another week of racing next week. If he can’t push the gas tomorrow then the next level will be a wake up call.
Re: Youth Nationals Predictions
I didn't watch those semis specifically, but based on results this far, I don't see a lot of reason to believe Isaiah is going to be particularly close tomorrow. Maybe he really was sandbagging that hard, but it's not like he was 10s safe in a qualifying position.

Agree with ^
Thought I heard that Miller is a LW on his way to Princeton?

Re: Youth Nationals Predictions
My prediction: Isaiah is going to win the Youth M1x and the u19 trials.
He's been very measured in his approach to the TT and the semi. He's a machine and appears to have a good level of maturity when it comes to racing - especially for such a young guy. Having witnessed in person his ability to become a floating human freight train, I will be surprised if he doesn't take it tomorrow.

You have to be pretty confident to not want to have a favorable lane for the final. It’s Florida and a storm can come through as lanes can be reseeded.
Re: Youth Nationals Predictions
That was settled in the first 500.

Quick work by a confident sculler.FullSend wrote:I didn't watch those semis specifically, but based on results this far, I don't see a lot of reason to believe Isaiah is going to be particularly close tomorrow. Congrats Isaiah!

Commentary is good , still no rates given
Re: Youth Nationals Predictions
That was a close one (mens 4x) - pipped by 7 thousandths!
The last 500 of that race was something else.

Re: Youth Nationals Predictions
That was wild. Close only counts in horseshoes and handgrenades’s. But wow. I was feeling for Marin, they took the lead, caught the buoy line, and I thought it was over.sandor wrote:That was a close one (mens 4x) - pipped by 7 thousandths!

Good for them.
