Seemed all crews were in that early 35ish cadence for base so it'll be fun to see what other gears crews have.
Not to try to take anything away from those 3 crews, but if all 3 were closer to princeton than expected wouldn't the more likely take away be that princeton wasn't showing their best stuff?

Two things I noticed about that Princeton video.

1. I have seen them sharper than that in the past.
2. They did not look like they were gunning it by any means.

Maybe they didn't look like they were going for it because they just aren't as skilled as they have been in the past? Maybe they looked dull because they didn't attempt to go through their entire gear box?

I think Princeton will be fine this year. They won't contend but they'll be in the upper midfield.

Social media tells me that Brown looks super sharp at the moment. I expect them to have a very good season.

Can Bruno come within 5 seconds of Yale this weekend? Any takers? Last time they raced this dual in 2019, Yale won by 13 seconds.

Having a very good season and being within 5 seconds of my expectations for Yale might not be the same thing. Ha!

That was something for the Georgetown lights , really nice first 500 and then went away.

What happened to Harvard ?

***Saw a post where Harvard had an accident and an injury to an athlete.

Princeton vs. Navy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACT8z7i-S_Q&t=6s

Looks like Navy threw the kitchen sink at Princeton, consistently over stroking them all the way down the course and going 40+ spm over the last 500. It'll be interesting to watch where the Tigers end up in May and June.

Looks to me like Princeton hasn't done a ton of race pace work, especially starts. There is some really disjointed recovery timing at the start and then throughout the race 2/3 seats have totally different leg drives and 7 seat looks to be muscling every finish. Much smoother from Navy though harder to see due to camera side.

The Rowing Channel is awesome. Livestream and archive. PAC 12 should learn. Cal website had a good livestream of their event but it is nowhere to be found after the event.

4/16/22 Harvard vs. Princeton https://youtu.be/cWc0em0jENg

This race was covered by ESPN+ but suffered from some technical difficulties. I tried to follow the races live. It was great see ESPN broadcast the race but The Rowing Channel has higher broadcast standards than this production. This link only has highlights from the 2V and 5V races, which is all the self-proclaimed “World wide leader in sports” was able to capture.
