Filippi youth 1x

Post by sandor »

Just got it out on the water yesterday after picking it up from Alex @ HOCR - we had to wait awhile for custom length Bantams to come in from C2.

I had no expectations, the kids absolutely loved it.

4 year old & 6 year old, both are daily bike riders (to school) and have been on the erg on occasion, but nothing special about them.

They were both beyond happy to be in a boat for the first time with their pop pop's watchful eye on them from the bank :D

What's the price tag on these boats? They look promising.

Right around $3500 shipped to the US

After 4 years now of trying to find a "Little Sculling Boat" ( https://littlescullingboats.wordpress.com/ ) I though the price was not bad at all.
Basing it on their coastal boat also offers use on wide ranging bodies of water.

We'll do lots of straight rows out & then start to work on turning & rowing back.
Then when they can turn & land back on the dock successfully - that is when we figure out how to tether them to my single to go up river :D
