Cuse over BU open water…1/2 length? Tough to tell w angle.
Dartmouth over G’town and Wisconsin significant open water.
Is that Gtown over Wisconsin?
Fear is only a four letter word.

Believe we now have the first team in the D3 field - MSOE is the first D3 eligible finisher at MARC. Not sure about an autobid system that gives IRA slots to 4th place at a regatta behind UVA, Bucknell, and Lehigh, but hey...

Is it any better than Jacksonville celebrating an IRA bid at SIRA after getting thrashed by two club teams, ND and UVA?

Isn’t the point of the bid system to get some diversity of teams in the mix?

Sure, and I support that. But the idea of autobids is winners qualifying, no? If you’re fully out of the medals at your qualifying regatta, I wouldn’t hate a provision that rolls that slot back to the selection committee

This would just lead to club programs getting kicked from more regattas/events. D3 and clubs being on par isn't unreasonable to me. There's a lot of great racing there

I think having regionals duals or tri-meets for D3 qualification would come across a lot more palatable for the IRA than the bad look this presents.

If Marietta was in that Conference, probably wouldn't have as bad a look.

Marietta used to be in the conference, but left after 2019. Maybe they'll return now that they are in the DIII rankings?

My top 6 for this week

Princeton - impressive rowing
Harvard - two strong races and now a long break till Sprints
UW -how will they end the season could be something
Yale - great rhythm
Cal - need more results to move up
Brown - rowing and racing nicely

Special nod to Penn , getting faster as the season goes on

Feels like the model should be WIRA vs Western Sprints. WIRA is has tons of entries and robust club/varsity racing (and was won by a club), but the varsity teams come together later to race for the IRA bid. I think the Atlantic Sprints event that Marietta created last year is meant to become that?

No love for your Alma mater Wolf? I think NU might have Yale in the 1v when you compare margins to Harvard/NU and Princeton/Yale. No way Syracuse ranks above them.

The sprints heats will be insanely competitive. Who goes to the grand final?

I love what NU did against Harvard , a strong start and solid base though Harvard was strong and efficient and went through

Yale still with the nod in the standings due to sunshine state invite results
